When my box opened, what did I see...
a BIG furry face
looking at me.
It sniffed me all over
from my head to my hoof.
Then, out of the silence,
I heard a big "Woof!"
(Animal Crackers helped me with the poem.)
"Don't be afraid", someone said as they gently lifted me out of my box. "That's Jake, and he loves little lambs!" Then, I met the rest of the family. They told me how happy they are to have me here, and they hope I will enjoy my visit.
I was thirsty, hungry, and tired after my long trip, so they fed me and tucked me into my box which they had made into a bed.
After my nap, we exchanged signature stamps (my first exchange), they stamped Jake's Personal Traveler in my logbook and helped me log my first four postal finds. Then, we talked about what we will be doing tomorrow. Build-A-Bear Workshop is celebrating their mascot Bearemy's birthday, and I will be able to meet him and have my picture taken with him. I am SO excited!
I miss everyone at home, but don't worry. Animal Crackers is taking very good care of me!
Love,
Peach
